Jerry A Barnes – The Photographer

Jerry A Barnes, a retired veteran from the United States Navy, is a Georgia based photographer and graduate from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Photographic Imaging.

He is a freelance photographer specializing in a wide range of photographic genres including portraits, weddings, product, commercial and special events. Some of Jerry’s images were displayed at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center 6x6 exhibits in 2010. He also received Best in Show for Photographic Portfolio at AIA. His recent accomplishments include his photographs of radio announcer Freda Stokes at WRNW1 1100 AM on 50 billboards and advertised on MARTA buses in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. His images were also published on the cover of and throughout the 2013/2014 local magazine “Recognition with Style.”

Jerry also enjoys mentoring students in their photography skills. He currently works part-time as a photography instructor at Westridge Christian Academy in Kennesaw, Georgia. Jerry is also available for private lessons, workshops and seminars. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering at community events with his family and donating his skills as a photographer to many non-profit organizations. Some of his volunteer projects include The Biggest Loser-Six Flags over Georgia, Women of Distinction Annual Women Empowerment Luncheon and Annual Holiday Carols in the City, TASB Cut-A-Thon for Autism and Family Connection.

He also worked with Google 360 Business Photo, 360 Photo Inc., Dillards department store, UHaul Inc. Woodstock Market Antiques, IMIGIZ Enterprises, LLC, Changing Faces Hair Restoration Center, Fashion Distinction, Salvation Army and many others.

Photography for Jerry is all about creativity, artistic designs and challenges. He is experience in both indoor and outdoor photography.
